Since i have decided to blog actively... here are a few updates of what i'm up to lately.
I got hold of a copy of Atlas shrugged. I should thank my sixth sense because when i found the book in our hall library, there was no title to it. There was no way of knowing what book it was except a word 'Rand' somewhere scribbled inside the book. My imagination set out to work and i guessed it as Atlas shrugged; And oo ya... I did confirm about it later..I was right!!
Last sunday saw the closing of kshitij09. I was pretty much a mute spectator. I attended the guest lectures, the shows that follow them and the B-plan final presentations. Rest of the time, I was mostly sleeping.
Thanks to the holiday season in the campus, I have started playing Rise of nations (similar to aoe). It has been a long break( one and a half year) and i seem to have lost my skills and strategy(haha.. big words..cant help it). The computer beats me easily and i'm very sad about. In the coming few days, all my energy will be devoted to come back into my 2nd year form.
Fast approaching is my interview date of IIM-k(Feb 9), closely followed by IIM-I(feb12); And i'm not preparing seriously[:D]. Let's wait and see. I think i'll write about my interview experiences one by one.

The problem with dilemma
When was the last time you found your plans for yourself in direct confrontation with the plans your family and friends have for you. How did u react?
I can think of 2 reactions:
You give up. Family and friends come first. I'm not selfish.
You stick to your stand. They will understand. After all, what are friends and family there for.
Ofcourse, I'm ruling out the well said but difficult to follow route of compromise of both sides.
Which one you choose depends on what kind of person you are and also the type of confrontation.
Say, it is about choosing between a official tour that can go without you and a family reunion. The choice you make here, whichever it is, is inconsequential.
Now say, if it is about a career choice, What will be your choice??
